One two three
Very few people actually elect to take public transportation. I don’t have facts and data to support that statement, but I really believe it’s true. Out of necessity, many people use public transit…but again, not by choice. I’m one of those people. I ride the local public buses because a person does what they have do to do what they need to do. Hey, I don’t mind it most days. I feel I am helpiing to do my part and release as little filth into the air as I can manage (no I don’t even use aerosol hairspray anymore…Aquanet you’re outta here!).
Anyway, when I’m on the bus, I generally notice things. Sometimes these things are on the bus with me and sometimes they’re outside the window. I like to sit near the exit seat - hence the name of this blog - and I gaze a lot (trying not to actually lean my head against the window…because…well..ugh). I often find myself wanting to discuss these things, or at least tell someone else about them, but oftentimes I find that by the time I get to someone I can talk to, we’re off and onto a different subject of conversation before I even begin to related the litany of thoughts I’ve had between the downtown bus station and the stop right outside my neighborhood Walgreens.
In the course of encouraging a friend of mine to start his own blog, I realized I should start one as well. So it begins…
